Silk Painting
09/07/2011 - 09/07/2011
Silk painting is a fun and engaging past time which offers great rewards to the artist or craft enthusiast. Silk painting is almost the opposite of other types of painting and brushes become far less important as the dye will move on the silk after it is placed there. The task of the silk painter is to control the movement of the pigment on the silk rather than its exact placement. Therefore this introductory day will see you working on a set piece to develop skills in 'paint management'! No experience in art is necessary.
