On this page are two photographs of Lady�s Smock (also known as Cuckoo Flower, scientific name Cardomine pratensis) found growing near the Frome in Maiden Newton.. The first picture is of the normal form and the second shows double flowers (note the extra  bud inside the bloom). This form is believed to be very rare. As the extra bud covers the �business� parts of the flower it is a mutant form with no future.
